photography by Kim Bell and watercolours of Walton on
the Naze in the past and present; making for a
fascinating comparison of the town by Tim Knight. There
will also be a mixed show in the Tea Rooms including
Tower favourite Nigel Pepper, who will show new work as
he produces it throughout the season.
If you are thinking about buying any art

Hamford Water National Nature Reserve is an Area of
Outstanding Natural Beauty and the reserve is a major
global migratory route for tens of thousands of birds as
well as a large breeding seal colony which we’ll visit
on this trip. Using sit-on-top kayaks, we’ll be able to
watch the seals without disturbing them and we have
lunch and some quiet time amongst the colony. This a
great opportunity to do what few people ever do in the
UK, particularly along the Essex coast.
Our sit-on-top kayaks are designed for angling and they
are large, stable and fast and form the perfect platform
for ‘novice’ paddlers - we also offer double sit-on-top
kayaks. Our trips are launched from Titchmarsh Marina at
Walton-on-the-Naze and the day includes secure parking,
hot showers and all the equipment needed for the trip
into the estuary including your kayak, paddle, buoyancy
aid and dry bags/watertight drums. There is a good
restaurant on site which also has a bar and beer garden
and beautiful view of the marina. These trips are 3
hours long and we take groups of 8 paddlers in the
morning (10am to 1pm) and afternoon (2pm to 5pm)
